HI, I'M TIFFANY!
Hi, I’m Tiffany… unapologetically obsessed with books. This blog is my personal reading journal where I track the books I read, the ones I buy (maybe too often), and everything in between. Think of it as a bookish diary. If you love stories, shelves full of TBRs, and honest thoughts on all things bookish, you’re in the right place. Let’s be book friends!

Beautiful Bastard

I’ll never forget the way she looked, so confident and sure of herself. I watched her from a distance. She wasn’t ready for me yet. I didn’t approach her and I didn’t disturb her, but I never once took my eyes off her.

Mallory Sullivan is ready to start her new life. After graduating at the top of her class, she’s landed one of the most coveted internships in the United States. Hard work and determination have gotten her to this moment of living the life she only dreamed of while growing up in foster care.

From the start, I knew that she would be my greatest achievement, so the day I let her go, I set down a path for her. A path to me.

She never expected Oz to be the greatest culmination of those dreams. But sometimes fate determines who you fall in love with. Who makes you lose control. Who owns your soul.
And then you realize it wasn’t fate at all

I’ve wanted to care for and protect her since the first moment I saw her. I’ve constructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her, could give her the life she deserves.

The time has come.

So I had this book on TBR for the longest time and I’ve heard many, many great things about it. Lo and behold, I found myself unable to put it down.

It did have it’s faults, but I’m going to save that for the end of this review.

All of the characters in this book are pretty likable for the most part. Everyone has a good personality and can hold their own. I love when a book has strong characters with a little sass.

This book was an extremely quick read and I’m sure I could have read it one sitting if I had the time to.

But I want to talk about Oz for a second. I feel like he’s too obsessed with Mallory. I cannot be the only one who thinks he’s a bit stalkerish. He made sure she ended up in his life on purpose! That’s too intense for me.

Also, the scene I was dying to have was a bigger confrontation with Oz’s dad. How in the world was it cut so short?? I wanted more action!!!! How could it only last for five seconds and nobody sheds any blood?

All in all, this book was a pretty good read and deserves four stars! It would have gotten more if there was some kind conflict that didn’t end as quickly as it started.
