It's been a good minute since I read a book by Lynsay Sands. I can honestly say that I don't love them as much as I used to. It's kind of disappointing because I still have a lot of book from this series that I need to read. I will still read them though, because even though I didn't love it as much as I did, I still enjoyed myself. 

I still love the scientific parts of this series. I love the nanos and I love that they originated from Atlantis. I think that is so creative. I love how there's an explanation for everything. The fangs, the eyesight, the hearing, etc. It's not very often I've come across a vampire book that was scientifically explained.

I enjoyed the book. All the way until the ending. I was not a fan whatsoever with how it ended. How is the bad guy going to be someone that nobody even cares about? That's some kind of BS.

So, I really loved Jake. I loved that he his undercover as a cook/housekeeper to keep Nicole safe. I really liked that he didn't intentionally go there but on a favor for the amazing Marguerite, the matchmaker. I really had fun with seeing their relationship grow. I just didn't see how Nicole was okay with the immortals as fast as she was. I feel like she should have put up some resistance for that knowledge.

All in all, I think it was really enjoyable. I just hated the ending and hated Nicole's reasoning for the immortals and being instantly okay with them. If those were different, I would have given the book at least a 4.5.
