Synopsis

What I Liked
- Augustus. He is honestly the only thing I liked about this book. I liked his character and I thought he was the best character in this book. I feel like he has two versions of himself. The version that I like, is the one where they're alone. Basically, I only liked him half the time.
What I Didn't Like
- Story line. I thought I was going to love this story. It's a retelling of one of my favorite stories, Sleeping Beauty. It's really just a bad smut short story. I feel like there wasn't anything for this story besides the smut scenes.
- Commanding climax? What the heck was this about?? Why are people so obsessed with Augustus's ability to make Rose have an orgasm by telling her to have one? It's just a stupid concept that makes no sense.
- No world building. You get close to nothing about this world. Just that there are fae people. We don't get to know if they have any powers or anything special besides their lifespan. It was very plain.
- Story climax. No, I'm not talking about a woman's orgasm here. I'm talking about the part where she meets the witch who cursed her and nothing happens. I really blame it on the length of this book. I should have known nothing of interest would happen, it's under 200 pages.
Verdict
I will not be picking up any more books in this series. I will not be picking up any other book by Lidiya Foxglove. This book was not good... at all. This book did absolutely nothing for me.
