 I Enjoyed:

• I love that this entire book is told in text messages. I thought it was going to be a silly concept. This book did it so freaking well. I'm shocked with how much I loved this book. I'm definitely going to try and pick up more books styled like this in the future.
• Both main characters are apart of the LGBTQ+ community! They both come out to each other and I really like that it's one of the things they bond over.
• I love that through the entire book, Haley doesn't know who she's actually talking to. There were moments where I felt secondhand embarrassment for her, even though she didn't know she should have felt embarrassed.
• I like not getting all the "background noise". By this, I mean dialogue is my favorite part of books. This book is nothing but dialogue. It was so quick to read. It was easy to read. I could have finished it one sitting if I wasn't sick.
• I love Martin. I love that everyone seems to hate him and he's the nicest person on the planet. He's just trying to figure out his life like everyone else.

I Didn't Enjoy:

• I didn't like that Haley didn't find out by herself. Like, completely by herself. She had to have help. For someone that is so freaking smart, she seemed pretty freaking clueless about this.
• Haley's friends were really garbage to her. She deserves better than them.

Overall Thoughts

I really enjoyed this book. It's not a book I thought I would enjoy due to it's format. If anything, it's made me want to pick up more books like this! It did it so well. I loved Haley and Martin. They fit together. They're soul mates. For sure. I want more!
