Meet the Blogger
HI, I'M TIFFANY!
Hi, I’m Tiffany… unapologetically obsessed with books. This blog is my personal reading journal where I track the books I read, the ones I buy (maybe too often), and everything in between. Think of it as a bookish diary. If you love stories, shelves full of TBRs, and honest thoughts on all things bookish, you’re in the right place. Let’s be book friends!

Electric Idol by Katee Robert

About The Book
Title: Electric Idol
Series: Dark Olympus #2
Author: Katee Robert
Genre: Romance
Page Count: 375
Rating: ★★★★

Synopsis:

He was the most beautiful man alive.

And if I wasn't careful, he was going to be my death.

*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Psyche and Eros that's as sinful as it is sweet.*

In the ultra-modern city of Olympus, there's always a price to pay. Psyche knew she'd have to face Aphrodite's ire eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake...or for Aphrodite's gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the killing blow.

Eros has no problem shedding blood. But when it comes time to take out his latest target, he can't do it. Confused by his reaction to Psyche, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: he marries her. Psyche vows to make Eros's life a living hell until they find a way out of this mess. But as lines blur and loyalties shift, she realizes he might take her heart after all...and she's not sure she can survive the loss.

My Review

I don't know why I'm unable to give any books in this series a full five-star rating. I think it's because it's not as dark as I want them to be. I definitely liked Eros and Psyche more than I like Hades and Persephone.

I'm writing this review while completely sick. So if it's all over the place or doesn't make sense, just ignore me.

So basically, Eros and Psyche are doing a fake marriage to avoid something bad happening to Psyche. I don't want to go into too much detail because I don't want to spoil the book. It was just done so well but not really done well... if you read the book you may know what I mean by that.

I feel like if I wasn't preparing for getting married and trying to enjoy my vacation, I would have plowed through this book. This series is addictive.

I'm currently trying to get through Wicked Beauty but it's really hard to read while sick.
